Bill of Rights Packet - Criminal Justice and Youth Court
As a way of informing you of your rights and guiding you through the judicial process, this packet contains information about the criminal justice system, restitution and compensation. By law, your local law enforcement agency must provide you with the name, address and telephone number of the appropriate prosecuting attorney and support services within your area. By signing the "Request to Exercise Rights" and returning the form as instructed, you are asserting the rights as prescribed in Chapter 42 Miss. Code Ann. (1972). Please remember it is the victim's or victim representative's responsibility to notify law enforcement and/or prosecution of any change in name, address or telephone number.
